Both teams put in a great effort in the heat with the Claregalway side starting the better and scoring a point and a goal. Barna had several close chances but could not convert them and went in at half time very much second best. What took place in the second half was one of the best team performances from the girls who started and finished the half very strongly scoring a total of 4- 3 to miss out on the victory by the narrowest of margin . All seventeen players played in a very fair and competitive game and although they lost by one point can take great heart into the remaining game against Killanin
