Betty Hernon was re-elected chairperson of the Barna Ladies Gaelic Football Club at its annual general meeting held over the weekend.
The AGM took place last Sunday, January 20 in the Twelve Hotel.
Chairperson Betty Hernon opened the meeting and thanked the Barna GAA outgoing committee for their support and wished the new committee well for the year ahead.
Secretary Gráinne McDonagh read the minutes from last year’s meeting and gave an overview of County Board matters.
Noreen Breathnach gave a report on the ladies football year which had a few near misses for silverware but ended in success with a win over Killanin.
Johnny Lynagh thanked all the coaches that helped out with the girls, from the U6s on the Saturday mornings, to the U8s on Tuesdays, U10s and U12s on Mondays and U14s and U16s on Wednesdays.
Betty Hernon and Gráinne McDonagh were re-elected as chairperson and secretary; and Johnny Lynagh remains the PRO. Team managers will be selected in the near future.
