Boys’ trip to Croke Park

Boys’ trip to Croke Park

A total of 43 boys from the underage section of Barna GAA Club enjoyed a trip to Dublin last weekend, which included a visit to Croke Park.
The boys from the U11s and U12s teams played games against their counterparts in Parnell’s GAA Club on Dublin’s north side, which is the club of Dublin senior captain Stephen Cluxton.
Earlier in the day the boys visited Croke park where they were given the tour of GAA HQ; and they also had a tour of the GAA museum.
They were accompanied by Piaras Ó Mánín, U12s coach and his assistant coaches; and Tim McSweeney, U11s coach and his assistants. Barna GAA Secretary, Mary Conneely, and Child Protection Officer, Eimear McDonnell, were also on the tour.
The end-of-season trip was thoroughly enjoyed by all, and the club was delighted with the hospitality of Parnell‘s GAA.
Meanwhile, Barna GAA’s senior team’s last league match of the season has been postponed due to a fixtures pile-up. The game against Menlough will be played possibly on Saturday November 9 but it has yet to be confirmed and is subject to change.
