Mayo finally defeat Kerry in Barna GAA’s successful Parish League

The Parish League this year was for the under 10’s and 11’s. The groups  were divided into four teams called after this year’s All-Ireland semi-finalists – Dún na nGall, Baile Átha Cliath, Ciarraí agus Maigh Eo. The competition was run on a round robin basis over three Tuesday evenings. The finals were played under lights on Tuesday 7th of  October. The 3rd and 4th placed teams Baile Átha Cliath and Dún na nGall played an exciting final refereed by Michael Gallagher that finished in a draw. Seán Ó Gráinne refereed the final in which Maigh Eo finally defeated Ciarraí. (All Maigh Eo need is a Mayo referee!)
The Concannon Cup was presented by club chairman Johnny Flaherty to captain Alex Naughton. The winners and defeated finalists both received medals. The Concannon cup will be brought to each of the primary schools over the next few weeks .
Well done to all involved.
