It’s a big championship weekend of action for Barna GAA Club with both adult teams playing in key clashes.
Barna senior footballers are hoping to get their championship campaign back on track when they face An Cheathrú Rua in the ‘back door’ round of the championship on Saturday.
Having beaten Naomh Anna Leitir Mór in the previous round, after extra time, Pat Fallon’s men are seeking to reach the last 16 with a victory over another Connemara outfit.
Throw-in on Saturday evening is at 7.15pm in Pearse Stadium. Tickets cost €10.
The County Board has issued a plea to all supporters attending Pearse Stadium over the weekend, to arrive early in Salthill and to be conscious, mindful and respectful to the needs of local residents.
Car Parking will be available free of charge in the Leisureland Car Park, Scoil Éinde N.S., Coláiste Éinde and the Prairie, all of which are within five minutes walk of the stadium. Fans are urged to use these designated car parks and to park legally and responsibly.
Meanwhile, the juniors are in championship action this Sunday against Oughterard in Moycullen at 12.30pm.
Support in both championship matches would be most welcome.
