Barna U16 girls played their first home game in the league against St
Gabriels last Monday, played in windy conditions the Barna girls with
the wind on their backs made good use of this advantage in the first
half by scoring 1-2 to 4 points for St Gabriels. The Barna girls
fought hard to hold on to the slender lead in the second half and
produced some very good football against the league leaders , the
defense worked hard and the midfielders ran all day to produce some
great ball for the forwards and it looked like a draw was on the cards
but a late goal from St Gabriels saw them take the win on a final
score line of 2-8 to 2-5.

The U12 girls are back training with their league campaign due to
start soon and new footballers are welcome to join with training
taking place on Monday’s from 6 to 7 at Barna Pitch

will be available with training times and venue.
