It was a quiet week for the teams this week with only the U14 squad playing against Leitir Mor. Having started with two wins this was going to be a tough test away from home against opposition that Barna always found hard to overcome. The girls started very well and they soon realized that a win was not out of the question when the forwards found the scoring touch with Ciara Lynagh, Eimear Kelly Greally finding the back of the net. Further points from Ciara and Katie Reen gave the girls a lead at Half time of two goals. With the forwards doing their work all other areas of the pitch were covered so well by the Barna girls with Saoirse Faherty and Orna Cunningham leading from the back and Sarah Cahill and Caoimhe Faherty providing the supply line to the forwards of which they greatly accepted by scoring 6-6 to 0-6 in a good win for the Barna girls. The only sour note of the evening was the injury to Roisin Nolan of which we hope to see back on the pitch in the near future.
