Barna GAA’s senior team are in a relegation battle for the second year running following their defeat at the hands of Mountbellew/Moylough in Tuam Stadium on Sunday. Barna led by a point, 0-5 to 0-4, at half-time and were looking good, leading by a point heading into the last quarter but Mountbellew/Moylough finished strongly to carry the day. The final score was 1-7 to 0-13. The seniors are now in relegation with Micheal Breathnach, Moycullen, Caherlistrane and winners of replay between Killererin and Cortoon who were level again after extra time. The draw will be made following that replay. The relegation games will be played in August.
