The seniors are playing Corofin this Sunday at 4.45 in Furbo in the senior league.
The Barna U12 girls made the long journey to Ballinasloe to take part in the Semi final of their championship on Wednesday last in what was to turn out to be a very entertaining game. The Barna girls started very well with an early goal which allowed the girls to settle and play to their full potential and this followed with two more goals without reply. Ballinasloe with home advantage began to play some direct football and put pressure on the Barna half with a well taken goal and a somewhat fortunate goal . The teams went into half time with Barna taking a slender lead which the girls knew would be difficult to maintain. Barna had to defend with the breeze helping the home team and the teams drew level but the Barna girls kept going and went in front again , with the result on a knife edge, Ballinasloe scored the point to level the scores before the final whistle was blown. Both teams provided a very entertaining game and hopefully the reply will be similar but this time with the Barna girls coming out on top.
